Voltaren Eye Drops, also known as diclofenac sodium and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID), are widely used non-pharmacologic treatment options for pain and inflammation. They are released in the eye by the inflammation associated with the injury or disease that caused the injury or disease. When used as directed by a healthcare professional, Voltaren Eye Drops are used to relieve acute inflammation in the body.
Voltaren Eye Drops work by inhibiting the activity of cyclo-oxygenase (COX) enzymes and thereby reducing inflammation. The active ingredients in Voltaren Eye Drops, diclofenac sodium and other NSAIDs, inhibit the activity of these enzymes and can provide relief from pain and inflammation caused by injuries or disease. Diclofenac sodium is the only non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) available in the U. S. and is prescribed as a topical solution or applied to the eyes.
The most common side effects of Voltaren Eye Drops include mild stomach upset, vomiting, diarrhea, and an upset stomach that usually subsides after discontinuation of treatment. However, Voltaren Eye Drops may cause more serious side effects such as severe allergic reactions and gastrointestinal bleeding, particularly in patients who are allergic to diclofenac sodium or aspirin.
Because Voltaren Eye Drops are used in conjunction with other pain relief medications, they are not recommended for patients with severe or ongoing side effects of Voltaren Eye Drops. It is important for patients to follow the guidance of their healthcare provider and to report any adverse reactions to the manufacturer.
The safety of using Voltaren Eye Drops in children has not been established. However, its use in children can cause serious side effects such as gastrointestinal bleeding and allergic reactions. It is important to inform healthcare providers about any medications, supplements, or herbal products that you are taking or are planning to take.
Voltaren Eye Drops may harm the developing baby, increase the risk of harm to the developing baby during the first few months of pregnancy, and decrease the effectiveness of Voltaren Eye Drops. It is not recommended for use during the third trimester of pregnancy.
Use Voltaren Eye Drops in children who are at risk for renal impairment. It is not recommended for use during the first trimester of pregnancy.
For patients with severe renal impairment, the recommended dose of Voltaren Eye Drops is 0.25 mg per mL of blood. If renal impairment is severe or continues, the dose may be increased to 1 mg per mL.
Older adults can develop renal impairment, even in the absence of previous episodes of renal dysfunction. Elderly patients may be more susceptible to developing kidney dysfunction. If you are an older adult and have experienced renal impairment or kidney dysfunction, contact your healthcare provider immediately.
Use Voltaren Eye Drops in children who have hepatic impairment or who are at risk for liver disease. The recommended dose of Voltaren Eye Drops for children is 0.5 mg per mL of blood. If renal impairment or liver disease is suspected, your healthcare provider will prescribe a dose of 0.5 mg per mL of blood.
For pediatric patients, the recommended dose of Voltaren Eye Drops is 0.3 mg per mL. For adults, the recommended dose is 0.1 mg per mL. For children who are in severe hepatic impairment or who have liver disease, the recommended dose is 1 mg per mL.
It is important for your healthcare provider to monitor your child’s response to the drug and inform them of any adverse reactions. Do not stop taking the drug without consulting your healthcare provider.

I’ve had a really rough time finding out I’m pregnant.
I was diagnosed with low blood pressure about a year ago and started using Voltaren (1) or Voltaren Rapid (2). I am not sure if I was being a bad doctor and being an athlete or whether it was just being diagnosed. I am also aware that I have to use Voltaren Rapid and I am using it for a short time.
I have been using Voltaren for several months and I started feeling the effects of it. I noticed the pain in the joints in my lower leg began to get worse at night. I tried other pain relievers but I have no idea what it is that causes the pain.
I am not a diabetic and I have no prescription. The only thing I know is that I have a very small gland in the back of my stomach, and that I have a problem with this. I am not pregnant and I am not a diabetic.
After a few weeks I started to feel better, and I have to say that I was not really an athlete. I have no idea if it was because of the pain and because it has been so bad.
I am currently on Voltaren Rapid 3 mg and I am hoping to get some relief for my pain so that I can be more active and more active at night.
I hope this helps.
